Over three days at the end of July and the beginning of August 2007, the VMTC Executive (see photo below), Richard Holloway (Australia), Robert Horn (USA), and Brian Brandon (New Zealand) met at Cayuga, near Toronto, in Canada.. The fourth member of the executive, Hans Thore Lovaas was unable to attend because of the illness of his son.
A unique part of our programme was that we were led in our worship each day by a band of four young women, Elise, Amanda, Orley & Tara, who were from the Sarnia church who hosted us. At the end of our meetings, the Executive prophetically prayed for each of them, which was a humbling and exciting experience to see God flowing through us in such unity. It is truly an international blessing ministry!
We were hosted really well by Rev Robert Roe of the Sarnia Church, and his people. Robert has a unique ministry of also being a local school bus driver, so he was able to drive us wherever we needed to go! The weather was fine and hot. We enjoyed visiting the Niagara Falls during one afternoon of our meeting. We also met with members of the Canadian Board for a meal and time of sharing the work of VMTC. The Canadian Board is enthusiastic and moving to do some new things, including sending a team of four people to Switzerland to prepare for a possible transplant there.
